This year the decision regarding what to do on New Year's Eve is simple! Dante's will be rocking and rolling as we welcome the final year of our existence (according to the Mayans, anyway) along with the great Jerry Joseph and the Jackmormons! Jerry is doing a cool 4 night stand here in Portland this year all around town, and we're honored to be part of the New Year's Eve bash. 
 
If you've ever been to Dante's on New Year's Eve, you know it's a great time and the perfect place to ring in the new year and say goodbye to the hot mess of 2011. 
 
We're looking to clear out our shirts, DVDs, CDs, and hoodies, so this will be a great chance to get some cool deals as we kick down the prices to end of the world levels.

This Saturday we're going to be dropping by The Blue Monk here in Portland to play a rare acoustic show, along with our friends Shane Sweeney and Micah Schnabel from Two Cow Garage, as well as fellow Suburban Home Records artist Lizzie Huffman. Shane and Micah are touring to support their excellent solo records, so come down and have a couple beers with is. For once you might not need the earplugs. Maybe. 
 
As the weather cools down, we also figured it would be a great time for an SOB hoodie sale! Starting with this show, and until they are gone, you'll be able to pick up an SOB hoodie for $10.

This weekend we'll have the honor of sharing the stage again with Portland's best, our old friends Hillstomp! As you may have heard, the Hillstomp boys are taking an indefinite hiatus after their current tour, so this will be your last chance to catch them for quite some time. Though it's rough to hear they're taking time off it will be great to join them again for a couple of great shows.

Hey all,
 
This weekend we're proud to be a part of the CD release of Scotland Barr and the Slow Drags "We Will Be Forgotten", their final album and memorial to their fallen front man Scotland Barr, who passed away in 2009 from cancer. It promises to be a great and memorable show.
 
This will likely be our last Portland show here in Portland before we head to Little Rock next month for the Two Cow Garage 10th Anniversary extravaganza in September. We'll have our new DVD on sale as well.

Hey ya'll!
 
We've got some awesome news! On September 2nd, we'll be making our way to Little Rock, Arkansas to join in the celebration of the 10 year anniversary of one of the greatest bands in America, Two Cow Garage. Words can't express how honored we are to be included, along with a killer lineup over 2 nights during which Two Cow Garage will also be recording a double live album!
 
We don't hit the road much these days, so if you're east of the Rockies this is probably your best chance to catch us live in the near future. And it couldn't have been for a better reason that we're making the trek.
 
Mike D will be on the road for a solo tour at the time, so keep an eye out on www.mikedamron.com for his tour dates. The rest of the band will meet up with him there for this event. 
 
Travel is spendy these days, so if you can't make it you can still catch us live by picking up our new DVD, Live in Seattle! It will also help us get our asses there for the show.

It may seem like things have been quiet in SOB land recently, but we've been busy behind the scenes. This Saturday will see us hit the stage at Devil's Point with our friends Root Jack, and it will also be the debut of our first DVD, Live in Seattle! It's fitting that we're releasing it this weekend, as it was filmed in Seattle at the Tractor Tavern almost exactly a year ago.
 
Devil's Point will be packed and rockin', so be sure to get there early and get a copy. We also expect to have the DVD available for sale on our website and on CD Baby early next week for those of you who aren't able to make it.
 
Also keep an eye on the website and Facebook page for more updates, as we expect to have another cool announcement sometime soon.

Exciting news to announce today: in about 2 weeks, we're releasing a DVD featuring our live set last June at the Tractor Tavern in Seattle. For those of you who haven't had a chance to see the SOB live show, here's the next best thing!
